Who We Are

About Us

A family of musicians and educators passionate about teaching, performing, and community.

Our Teaching Philosophy

What is the Suzuki method? Music is a language.Β  Every child is capable of learning a language, esp when they are young.Β  It’s not a matter of talent but environment.Β  After reaching a certain fluency level, the student is then taught to note read.Β  The most natural style of learning is by watching, listening and doing.Β  Β One parent is designated to be the home coach, taking them to lessons, helping them organize their practice binder (notebook), following the instructions of the teacher at the lesson.Β  The practice parent does not have to have previous musical experience . Some of the most successful parents are the ones who follow the instruction of the teacher rather than picking and choosing what they want to teach their child at home.Β  It’s important for both parents to familiarize themselves with the important points of the Suzuki method.Β  In addition to private lessons, students should expect to take part in group lessons and performances. Students are encouraged to learn with and support one another in their growth. Have the finest examples for your child toΒ  imitate. Take your children to concerts.Β  The most successful families have at least one parent / grandparent who enjoys whatever the child plays and gives encouraging comments and honest praise.Β

🎼

Technical Foundation

We start with proper technique β€” posture, hand position, tone production β€” building habits that prevent injury and enable musicality.

🎨

Creative Expression

Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and interpret music in their own way from early on.

πŸ‘‚

Ear Training

Listening is the foundation of all musicianship. We develop students' ears alongside their hands and music-reading skills.

🎡

Repertoire & Enjoyment

Students learn music they love β€” from classical to folk to contemporary β€” keeping motivation high throughout the journey.

🀝

Ensemble Playing

Playing with others is a transformative experience. Group sessions and camps build collaboration and listening skills.

πŸ“ˆ

Goal-Oriented Progress

We set clear short- and long-term goals with each student and family, celebrating milestones along the way.
